Welcome to the site of the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers) in West Africa Print
Who are the Missionaries of Africa? What are they doing in West Africa? You will find the answers to these and other questions in this site...
Cardinal Charles Lavigerie, founder of the Missionaries of Africa
Lavigerie : “The missionaries must first of all be initiators, but the work that lasts will be done by Africans when they themselves become Christians and Apostles.”

Since the beginning of the 20th century, the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers) have been present in Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Ghana, Nigeria and Mauritania. They have been in the Ivory Coast for the last 25 years. They can be found living in community, witnesses of God's Kingdom, in the parishes as well as working in the areas of Justice and Peace, encounter with other religions, street children, etc.
