Nigeria: five months among us |

The Formation House community focuses on vocation animation and prepares the aspirants (both Ghanaians and Nigerians) before they commence their missionary safari into formation as Missionaries of Africa. The aspirants are in contact with the Vocation Director for one or two years before they are admitted to our Formation House in Ibadan for the ‘Residential Stay’ of five months. |

CARDIS, "that they may have life" |

|
CARDIS stands for CARe for the DISabled. Our aim is to care for the disabled people of Tamale, a city of more than 300,000 inhabitants. There are few social amenities for blind people and those with physical disabilities. There are four of us: Sister Joan of the Sisters of St Gildas and three MAfr: Brother Trevor Robinson, Father Diarmuid Sheehan, and Father Martin Balemans. We work with two salaried helpers. It is now 10 years since CARDIS came into existence and is thriving. |

A Parish among Muslims |

Father Oscar Arturo Garcia and Brother Clenerius Chimpali work together in Mary Mother of Jesus parish in Savelugu, Ghana. The majority of the people in the geographical boundaries of their parish are the Dagomba, Muslims, and farmers. Their Catholic community is rather small. The priority that they have for their parish is dialogue with Muslims. However, this is easier said than done. |
